About us
If you are thinking of escaping from everyday life for a while, a trip to the manorial and picturesque Hydra is the best idea—a top-rated destination given its relatively short distance from the capital. The island of captains and artists is located in the Saronic Gulf. You will love it for its cosmopolitan aura, cobbled alleys, architecture, and rich history.
Means of transport are only donkeys, carts, and sea taxis. Wherever you look, nothing will remind you of the 21st century. It’s just like walking into another era!
The history of Hydra, its fashion, and how it inspired us
In the 19th century and the pre-revolutionary years, Hydra was famous for its naval activity. Thus, trade, wealth, and constant human conciliation are reflected in women’s clothing, with the then traditional costumes of Hydra women following both stylistically and technically, a different style and style from the other island costumes. The Hydraeans, at the same time, were influenced by western fashion trends. Managed and made the marriage of local and European, modern and traditional, which we repeatedly find in today’s fashion.
Based in beautiful Hydra, my sister and I or my sister and I, inspired by the mansion island of the Saronic Gulf and its aesthetics, but also the history of its traditional female fashion, decided to house our shop in a special and picturesque alley, under a multi-photographed arch near the Cathedral of the island.
We put all our love and taste into its interior, and we ended up its name as something very ours… so what else from the initials of our surname with Latin characters in duplicate…Two La La!
When you arrive on our island, do not forget to visit our small boutique where you will find clothes, perfumes, candles, and accessories, mainly Greek designers and creators. Since we support our place, we support “Made in Greece.”
We are waiting for you!
